Multiple sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis MS has been an enigmatic disease. There has been no consensus of its cause or origins besides factors such as genetics, viruses and environmental factors but little attention has been paid to the role diet.

Some of the earliest research on this concept was done by Dr Swank in the USA. Remarkable long-term study of 144 MS patients involved the patient consuming a diet low in saturated fats.

He classified patients as good dieters who maintained this restricted regime those who strayed from the diet poor dieters.

Other studies have confirmed this association between cow's milk consumption and MS development. The graph below shows this by country.
