Progressive impairment of brain activity whether memory loss or impaired ability to think clearly is not due to a single factor. There are many links between minor strokes, cardio-vascular diseases, hypertension, high blood cholesterol, inadequate physical and mental activity, genetics, low levels of antioxidants in the blood, and high levels of free radicals.

Of all these factors there is a common thread running through most of them and that involves the diet.

A whole plant diet offers increased protection against minor strokes, cardio-0vascular diseases, hypertension, high blood cholesterol, poor levels of antioxidants, and reduced levels of free radicals. Whereas a predominantly animal based diet does just the opposite.

All research of groups eating a high plant based diet show lower rates of Alzheimer disease, this surely is a useful guide to improved long term health?
